A Psychic Clairvoyant Medium, A Minister, An Olorisha, & Just An Ordinary Gal

Eileen Casey Gonzalez is someone who loves Creator, Orisha, Egun (the ancestors), Spirit, and her husband. Her life has been full of interesting spiritual experiences which began in early childhood. Like many in her generation with spiritual gifts, Eileen quickly learned to keep her experiences with spirits quiet and to herself. It was not until 1987 when she attended her first service of the Spiritual Science Fellowship in Halifax Nova Scotia, that she finally felt free to discuss and discover more about the world of spirit, her experiences, and her Mediumship Gifts.

Eileen has had an amazing journey through life so far. She has had incredible opportunities to meet amazing people, received quality training from esteemed teachers, and has experienced wonderful spiritual experiences. Despite all of this and any title she may carry, she will always tell you she is just an ordinary gal.

The Spiritual Science Fellowship

She is standing at a podium with her hands in the air while giving a prayer. The respect for all religious traditions has always been a huge draw for Rev. Eileen to the Spiritual Science Fellowship (SSF) of Canada. With her first visit to the Fellowship she was looking for a place to be able to worship the Universal One Creator which connects us all, a place without judgment of people’s faiths and religious backgrounds. From the moment she walked into her first Spiritual Science Fellowship Sunday Service Rev. Eileen knew she found her spiritual home. The SSF has helped her, as it has many, develop her own personal particular path of deep understanding of Creator and spirituality.

The commitment which Eileen has to the Spiritual Science Fellowship has been a direct result of the organisation’s “Declaration of Principles” and the interfaith community which strive to live by them. She loves the organization and feels the Fellowship is a place to come to, from all faiths or no specific faith. It is a place in which it is known that we all possess natural spiritual gifts and a place in which it is known that there is a continuing of the soul after the change called death.  Eileen enjoys many aspects of being involved with the SSF including volunteering, participating in and leading services, and well as teaching Mediumship Development Classes.

An Ordained Minister

Rev. Eileen Casey Gonzalez was with the Spiritual Science Fellowship for several years before dedicating to it’s Ministry program in 1992. With taking deep promises, commitments, and decisions seriously,  it took her time to understand her ministry call and make that lifetime commitment. She worked for many years with the SSF in the ministry program before becoming a fully Ordained Minister in 2012. In Nova Scotia Rev. Eileen enjoyed full rights as any minister from any denomination, including the performing of marriages.

The Beginning of A Depth Of Connection

In the 80s and 90s, Eileen began to discover the connection she has with Orisha before she even knew what Orisha was. She discovered a unique ability to make a request to the ocean, asking for waves to come in to greet her at the water’s edge. The waves of a low tide would quickly flood the beach every time requested much to her surprise and delight of her friends. Eileen had no idea how this could happen. She later on discovered that this a characteristic found in the children of the Orisha Yemaya.

Yemaya is an Orisha, a highly spiritual personified force of nature and consciousness. Lukimi or Ocha is the religious tradition which involves working with Orisha. Lukimi’s roots are from Western Africa but the tradition is found throughout the Caribbean, Latin America, the United States, and around the world. The Orisha Yemaya’s domain is large bodies of water and the ocean. Eileen had no concept of what Orisha was but in 1984 to her surprise, she went into a blissful trance state of on a dance floor. She never will forget the experience. Years later Eileen found the piece of music which put her into such a state. Then married to her Cuban husband, he explained that this particular piece of music song contained an African devotional chant to the Orishas Yemaya and Ochun.

2014 Vow Renewal
In Cuba

In 1995 Eileen met her husband Rolando in Halifax Nova Scotia soon after he emigrated to Canada from Cuba. Rolando saw Eileen for the first time at a mall on the Halifax waterfront. His reaction to her was most unusual as he did not take his eyes off of her. Rolando perused her until finally, they began to date later that year. At that time he confessed that he had seen Eileen in his dreams all his life.

This claim Eileen took lightly until she witnessed evidence of this truth in front of her father. She was with Rolando at her father’s home looking at old family photos. While looking at photos of Eileen as a child Rolando expresses his feelings of shock. He stated he could hardly believe his eyes as he had seen Eileen in his dreams as a child. Rolando’s shock at the time was obvious and this would have been difficult to fake. His face turned white, which was a sight to behold with his dark complexion, it could only have been an honest reaction.

This is was part of their beginning of a lasting friendship, full of adventures on their journey together through life. Just as in a prediction given during a fire Divination Demonstration in 1995, by Rev. Dr. Marilyn Rossner founder of the Spiritual Science Fellowship Canada, Eileen and Rolando were married in 1996.

Joyous Cuban Connections

In 2004 Eileen visited Cuba for the first time. Meeting her husband Rolando’s family and religious family changed her life permanently. Rolando’s brother Roberto and Eileen had a quick connection with the two of them understanding each other regardless of a serious language barrier. Quickly they engaged in deep philosophical discussions. Their friendship and mutual love developed quickly and remains strong today. Roberto became her Godfather in Ocha and the person who birthed her Orisha in 2015.

Upon meeting Sr. Jose Angel Pupo Olivarez Eileen was totally mystified. Angel was an Ifa Babalow, Palo Mayombe and Tata Nganga, a true Shaman who is Rolando’s Godfather. Besides being a charismatic gentleman this man literally shown with light. This light Eileen witnessed around Angel allowed for her to have instant trust. This trust opened the door for the deep spiritual work she required at that time, and for the beginning of her destine path that now being laid out in front of her.

Eileen opened up to a world she could never have dreamed of coming from her background due to meeting Angel. A world which holds explanations of deep mysteries that she has pondered since her youth. Even though her time with Angel was short, he became her first Godfather in Ifa and Palo Mayombe. Stories of this man’s work and experiences are incredible. In his lifetime he helped countless numbers of people, not only in Cuba but people from around the world.

The world of a Babalow is full of magic and miracles. When Angel became ill, however, he wanted no religious intervention. Angel said had seen that Olofi (the highest Orisha closest to Creator) had important work Angel was to do on the other side. In January of 2010 Sr. Jose Angel Pupo Olivarez Ochesa Ke Timbelese Olodumare, Ibe, passed over to the world of Spirit. Both Eileen and her husband Rolando will always hold a deep love and respect in their heart for him always, as all who knew him do.

Eileen will never forget Angel and she knows he does not forget her. Even though he now resides in the spirit world, he comes to visit her now from time to time, in her far away land of Canada.

After years of a journey of discovery, devotion, ceremonies, and amazing experiences, Eileen became an Olorisha in 2014. For the lack of an easier layman’s description, she is a Preist in the religious tradition of Ocha or Lukimi. In the faith Eileen’s crowned name is Ocan Iya Aña and she has recieved Yemaya. This is a journey for Eileen in which every day brings more joy, love, and understanding to her life. It is a journey of continuous and never ending learning, one which enriches her connection with Spirit, as a Spiritualist Medium, and with her role as an Interfaith Spiritualist Minister with the Spiritual Science Fellowship.

With experiences with spirits as a young child Eileen is a natural clairvoyant. For a natural clairvoyant to become a quality practicing medium it takes many years of working with one’s own spirits and training. Effective training does not happen through books or correspondence courses with mediumship and Eileen feels she has been fortunate in her lifetime. With over 30 years in Spiritualism and contact with excellent teachers, Eileen feels her life has been blessed. For her it is always an honor to work to help another, and working with spirits from the other side who’s intention is the same is always a joy.

As a Medium Eileen could never have dreamed her mediumship could have progressed how they have. Since receiving Orisha in 2014 her spiritual experiences and gifts have deepened. Her spirits have given her a new way for her to work as a Medium with something called Spirit Portrait Pictures. With this process her spirits actually draw portraits of loved ones and spirit helpers on the other side.

Spiritual Science Fellowship

The respect for all religious traditions held by the SSF has helped Eileen, as it has many, find her own path of deep understanding of creator. Through the years she has heard it stated by the late Rev. Fred Cale, that one of the goals of the SSF has been to, be a place where individuals can come and feel safe to find their own unique personal spiritual or religious paths. She has also heard this stated by Rev. Marilyn Rossner, founder of the SSF.

Both of these leaders also have stated that with this process, many may come to the SSF for a short while and then leave. This often is the result of individuals finding find their own unique religious paths after being in contact with the multifaceted views of the SSF. Eileen has always felt it an honor to be a part of the Spiritual Science Fellowship with this type of respect and understanding for other religious traditions, individuals, and all of it’s Spiritualist Ministry work.

Experience Through Being Of Service

These classes were required by individuals who wished to work as a demonstrating Medium at SSF services and events. Rev. Eileen has been awarded by the SSF Canada certificates for Inspirational Speaking, Clairvoyance and Spiritual Healing.

From Multimedia To Artisan Work Creativity Holds No Boundaries

With this training she used her skills to help various clients with projects which assisted them in their businesses. She has also continued her volunteer work with the the Halifax Chapter of the SSF. Eileen’s creative ability does not stop at the computer. She enjoys working with many different modalities as an artist with many hobbies. Her creativity has also given her another outlet to involve with her love of crystals, stones and gems as she also designs and creates jewelry. Each piece she creates is always cleansed, created with love, and charged in the moonlight so each piece may be more than just something of beauty to look at.

One Foot In Front Of The Other In Gratitude

Despite all of the amazing opportunities and experiences Rev. Eileen Casey Gonzalez has had in her life, and despite of any title she may hold, she will tell you she is just an ordinary gal.  Each day is another day to discover, learn and cherish with it’s experiences, while we walk on the earth Eileen feels. She never knows exactly where she is going or what the future brings.

Eileen’s goals are always to be able to love, hold devotion and gratitude for the creator with all of the splendor of life around her, and to do her best while hoping to share with others. When asked what Eileen will be doing next she will tell you that she is putting one foot in front of the other, and holding faith in the path that is put in front of her. This is process which has only led her on an amazing journey so far.
