The Quiet Ones
The quiet Ones sit and observe,
their words are spoken but barely heard.
Across the night they stand bright,
you would never know how they stand strong to fight.
Life seems to play them like a symphony,
but do not get it wrong—they do not need your sympathy.
The days can seem long and without light
for those unnoticed, thought not to shine so bright.
They may have learned to keep quiet,
not to waste their breath
on people whose set opinions
disturb their rest.
The sun shines so bright
for those willing to see the quiet ones,
who choose to see life's delight.
Give them a chance to speak;
if you are lucky, you may find answers
to your deepest questions, and your life is not bleak.
