The Rose Of Sharon
My friend, I miss you, though you're beyond my sight,
Your healing spirit shines both day and through the night.
We loved you deeply, those who knew your soul whom you let in.
Even though you tried to walk alone in life, we could not let you win.
Sharon, you were amazing, so strong and so true!
Despite those whose hearts would always doubt, those who could never choose to really know you.
Wise woman of strength, you meant so much to me,
Even though at times you watched and listened, letting my spirit be.
Through the most difficult times, you helped guide my way,
My fierce friend, you and none other, could I say.
You shared with me the wonders, joy, and grace,
The unseen miracles, we loved to ponder, discuss and interlace.
Rose of Sharon, you were true to your name,
Self-controlled and talented, you had no shame in your game!
Your time here felt too short, my friend, to us left behind a fleeting dream.
You knew your path, though we felt heavy with loss, it would seem.
Sharon, may your soul soar higher than eagles fly,
May your journey lead you to skies beyond the eye.
We who love you cannot say a final goodbye,
For we know, Sharon, we'll meet again beneath the sky.
Together we will all soar, like eagles, strong and free,
Forever bound, in eternity.

In Memory of Sharon Lantz
Lover Seek Me
A hidden fervor, a cinder's glow within,
Few trace the labyrinth where my desires begin.
I draw from love's deep spring, a brimming tide,
My soul a vessel where fierce passions reside.
Lover, unveil your depths, your shadowed art,
Let me map the contours of our entwined heart.
Time passes, we create life's tapestry as we design,
Darling, though challenges our spirits shall shine.
Let us embrace the intimacy of night in the light of day,
With hearts of courage, let us pave our way.
I've waited long, through silence, stark and deep,
I know when your soul meets mine, our secrets we will keep.
You've got me tied up under your potent spell,
I've waited so long where life's harsh shadows fell.
Lover, let's dance, ignite a private sun,
Though paths may lengthen, our shared journey’s begun.
Brighten my day with desires, my radiant dove,
Be my companion, soar on wings of love.
Lover, seek me out through the lonely night,
Lover, join me, my everlasting, my loving knight.

They Don't Want To Know
Many think my sunshine is fake,
My happiness it's a choice I make.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
The pain that's been the underflow.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
The strife, the tears I struggled so.
As a child, with love's soft start,
I learned to hide the broken heart.
As a child, with light in sight,
I learned to live in silence, hold back the night.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
The learning's fight, the inner woe.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
How I keep my light and watch it grow.
I speak of joy, of sun's bright ray,
A path I found, not in a day.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
The unknown's fear, the undertow.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
The small one there, afraid to grow.
Afraid to stand, to rise up tall,
The backstory's pain, beyond recall.
A story of hurt, but love's small gleam,
A kindness born, a hopeful dream.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
How bad it's been, where shadows flow.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
Where no one's seen, where barren winds blow.
Born with a soul, a joyful spark,
A garden's beauty, in the dark.
Born with a heart of loving grace,
To share that love in every place.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
How they tried to crush and lay me low.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
How I stood up strong and let it go.
I grew up with light, through darkness' sting,
I grew up strong, with my joy, I did sing.
They don't want to know cuz they don't want to know,
How I survive, how I let it go.
The sun will rise, the darkness fall,
I am strong, standing tall.
The sun will rise, the shadows creep,
But I'm resilient, secrets keep.

The Gift The Toll
A lifetime spent in giving's gentle art,
A heart that yearned kindness to impart,
And honesty, a flame that burned so bright,
And love, a beacon, shining in the night.
I gave and gave, with open, willing hand,
Love flowed freely across the shifting sand.
But lately, giving's well begins to dry,
A weariness that clouds the spirit's sky.
I wrote the words, heartfelt and true,
Before the memes, when feelings still felt new.
I stood before the crowds, with hopeful plea,
To lift their spirits, set their own hearts free.
Yet here I sit, defeated, forlorn,
By life's harsh winds, my spirit slowly torn.
My heart feels empty, though I wear a smile,
A mask I don for just a little while.
My friends, I loved, they took with open hand,
Then left me freely, scattered through the land.
No blame to cast, no anger to ignite,
The fault is mine; I failed to learn the light,
The boundaries that should hold.
I turned the cheek, I offered no defense,
Gave all I had, at such a great expense.
No victim dwells within this quiet space,
Just me, alone, in this familiar place.

The Sharp Snap
A year's sharp snap, many years undone with a clap.
A life stalled by destiny and yet freely given.
An open door pulled fully from just being cracked. No gentle sway, it was pulled open all the way.
In to the great unknown she was hurled, a heart of fear, a world unfurled.
Yet faith, a thread she's always known, grace's quiet strength, honor heart sewn.
